Omniesia Tease Upcoming Album With Pervasive Knowledge

Pervasive Knowledge is the new single by Chilliwack-based technical death metal band Omniesia, released on 24 May. It follows the band’s debut full-length, Self Possessed (2024).

The current members of Omniesia, Tyson Lanting (lead guitar, vocals), Charles Leake (rhythm guitar), Owen Lanteigne (bass, vocals), and Andrew Hadden (drums), have been working on the song for more than a year. Throughout the process, they maintained a clear creative direction, aiming to balance “technical melodic leads, crushing riffs, and a traditional chorus.”

According to the band, the song examines our tendency to ignore the answers we already have.

“Oftentimes people know what needs to be done to fix the issues in their life, whether from external sources or internally, but they reject this wisdom. In this instance, the truth is too overwhelming to ignore, and the character must accept it,” the musicians shared with Musiknights.

The band said that their sound has completely transformed since they introduced new members, drummer Andrew Hadden and bassist Owen Lanteigne. Their songwriting has matured and their workflow has become more streamlined. They added, “We’ve found a way to become more technical while still staying true to classic death metal.”

The collective revealed to Musiknights that they will release another single in June, followed by an album on 11 July, although the announcement has not yet been made official.
